Entergy preparing for Tropical Storm Isaac

Entergy’s utility companies in Louisiana are continuing to monitor Tropical Storm Isaac and are preparing for its potential impact on the City of New Orleans and the state.

Entergy says it is preparing for the possibility that strong winds, higher tides, rain and flooding could affect the companies’ service territories in southern Louisiana, and is positioning line crews and contractors near areas of potential impact. The utility company says wind gusts and flooding could extend restoration times in some areas, but crews will be prepared to restore service to customers as quickly as possible when conditions permit.

The company reminds customers to stay away from downed power lines and to call 1-800-9OUTAGE toll-free to report electric or gas outages. Customers can also visit the Entergy Storm Center website at entergystormcenter.com for the latest updates and outage information.
