Nearly 30,000 households are at risk of eviction, facing a rental shortfall of an average $680. To learn more, reporter Rosemary Westwood spoke with Jessica Kemp, the vice president of the Center for Planning Excellence, a Louisiana nonprofit that focuses on regional planning.

Rosemary Westwood is the public and reproductive health reporter for WWNO/WRKF. She was previously a freelance writer specializing in gender and reproductive rights, a radio producer, columnist, magazine writer and podcast host.
