A former White House press secretary is among ex-Trump supporters set to address the Democratic convention this evening.

On Tuesday evening, two leading contenders, Majority Leader Steve Scalise and Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan are scheduled to address colleagues behind closed doors at a candidate forum. But they appear to be splitting the vote — and the House is stuck in a stalemate that threatens to keep Congress partly shuttered.

House Republicans are meeting Monday evening at the Capitol as the Speaker vacancy severely limits America’s ability to quickly respond to the crisis in Israel.
